Cape Robin is a retreat nestled in indigenous vegetation - including fynbos - with beautiful views of the Robberg Peninsula, the ocean and the Tsitsikamma Mountains in the distance. The Estate is adjacent to the local golf course, a few kilometres from Plettenberg Bay’s pristine beaches and within easy reach of the town centre.

Accommodation:
The house consists of two interlinked but completely separate self-contained homes, each with a spacious open-plan lounge/dining area and fully equipped kitchen; fold-away sliding doors open onto an east-facing balcony with expansive views over the estate and the ocean, stretching as far as the Robberg Peninsula. The space is light, bright, open and spacious.

Rooms and Spaces
Both Cape and Robin offer a spacious open-plan lounge/dining area and fully equipped kitchen; fold-away sliding doors open onto an east-facing balcony with expansive views over the estate and the ocean, stretching as far as the Robberg Peninsula. The space is light, bright, open and spacious.

Both lounge areas open onto a second, north-facing balcony, set in the magic of the coastal bush, ideal for outdoor breakfasts or late-afternoon cocktails.

Each house has a spacious main bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, free-standing bath and separate toilet. The second bedroom has twin beds and a guest bathroom. All rooms have doors opening onto balconies.

The private and secluded pool area is shared by both units and is the ideal spot to experience the South African sun during the summer or winter months. The large patio area is ideally suited for al fresco dinners.

The Location:
Cape Robin is set in a select spot in the Brackenridge private security estate which hosts some of Plett’s most beautiful homes. The layout of the estate provides residents with tranquil, safe and close to nature living,  as much of the area is green belt and the natural fynbos retained. 

The estate is beautifully maintained and the natural vegetation attracts much birdlife. Cape Robin has a lovely sunny position and provides spectacular sea and mountain views and views of Plett’s iconic Robberg peninsular.

New Ownership:
Cape Robin was formerly called Jan–Frederick which is the local name for the Cape Robin, one of South Africa’s most loved birds. Jan-Frederick was run as a very popular holiday home for many years. Greg and Terese acquired the property in November 2021 and along with the rename to Cape Robin our plan is to build on the popularity of this lovely property and enhance our guests experience. Our aim is to attract discerning guests, offer them a wonderful stay so they wish to return year after year. This formula worked so well for us with our previous properties.
