Gulls Way is a refurbished wooden beach cottage, in Keurbooms Strand, near Plettenberg Bay.
The cottage has both sensational sea views, and a beautiful view of the indigenous forest on the other side of the house. The beach is 10 minute walk away - although the sea views are uninterrupted, the cottage is on a hill above the beach.
You will love staying at this beach cottage, it has stunning views of the sea, and also of the indigenous forest. The neighbours are close, but they enjoy their privacy and peace and quiet as much as our guests do. The cottage is peaceful, in quiet surroundings but it is nice and central for all the activities nearby.
Gulls Way is fully equipped for self-catering. All linen is provided as well as beach towels, chairs and small umbrellas.
There are two bedrooms, one with a Queen-sized bed and the other with two single beds. There is also a child-sized day bed in the living area. Sleeps maximum 5 (max. 4 adults).
The bathroom contains a shower and toilet, and hand-basin, and there is an outside utility room, with a washing machine and ironing facilities, as well as a second toilet.
There is cellphone reception, DSTV and Wi-Fi facilities.
A paved outdoor entertainment area has comfortable furniture and a Weber Braai is provided. There is also a lock-up single garage suitable only for a sedan car (not a high 4x4).
Domestic help can be arranged, in advance, at your expense.

There are many animal sanctuaries in close proximity. These include Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, Jukani, the Elephant Sanctuary, the Lawnwood Snake Park and Tenikwa Wildlife Sanctuary. Just a bit further is Plettenberg Bay Game Reserve and many action sports like swimming with the seals, whale and dolphin watching, deep sea fishing, abseiling, canyoneering, bungi -jumping and sky-diving are available. Hiking in the forests or beaches is popular because of our spectacular scenery and the birdlife is extraordinary! We frequently spot Knysna Loeries (Turaco) in our gardens.
Keurbooms Beach is a mere 5 - 10 minute walk away.
We have three restaurants in the immediate vicinity, the hugely popular Enrico's, which is on the beach. The Berliner is also a child-friendly restaurant as is The Dunes. Thyme and Again Farmstall have a delicious variety of freshly baked produce and serve delicious breakfasts and lunches, as well as organic greens and frozen meat and chicken.
Nature's Valley is a 20 minute drive away, and Robberg Nature Reserve, on the other side of Plettenberg Bay is a beautiful place to walk amongst the fynbos and unspoilt coastline.
The Crags area has also become well known for polo, and has been producing very fine wines in recent years! Bramon Wine Farm, in The Crags, is a ten minute drive away and there you can enjoy their wine-tasting and excellent restaurant which specializes in tapas food of a very high quality. In recent years, The Crags has also developed its own Wine Route, with three other Wine Farms to visit! The Mill Centre is also in The Crags, with its various craft shops and the Pepper Mill restaurant. Plettenberg Bay is an easy 10 minute drive away, with many more fine dining opportunities and plenty shopping !
But of course, the Garden Route is most famous for its spectacular beaches, the Knysna and Tsitsikamma Forests, and beautiful wide river mouths.
With our beautiful beach cottage as your base, you can discover the Garden Route, from Wilderness to Jeffreys Bay, the one day hike on the Otter Trail from Storms River mouth to the waterfalls and shorter walks through the ancient indigenous forests in the area.

We have septic tanks so PLEASE don’t put anything except toilet paper in the toilets and no fat down the kitchen sink.
